The King is online at Hydeist. I wish 2009 will be the year Hydeist becomes international. I wish 2009 will be the year VAMPS will come to Brazil to do lives. I wish 2009 will have great music, since I am waiting new projects from VAMPS. I wish my dearest one will be as talented and healthy as always. I wish all the best in 2009 for everyone ^^

大掃除 ● 第一話

I did this page some months ago. It had been a while I hadn't drawn manga, so it's a little amateur in many ways >_< However, I tried hard, so it has its value for me. It's of course a one-page-BL plot! hahahaha. I wanted to depict this impossible love between two people. Impossible because of the rules of moral and religion and etc, so I made it atemporal and their country and ethnicity is not explicit because I wanted it to be quite universal.

This second work I made to monthly VAMPS vol 5, but it was not chosen T-T I enjoyed doing it, though. Since I have been addicted by Yoshitaka Amano’s work lately, I feel influences ^^ Talking about Yoshitaka Amano reminds me of the beginning of my romance with manga and anime. I remember falling for his illustration in the cover of the video tape of Vampire Hunter D I was about to rent in the video shop. Oh, a looooong time ago. Recently, he crossed my existence and I could see some good illustration of him. He has huge influences of Klimt whom I like a lot, too.

Let the seasons begin...

.
.
.

Elephant Gun by Beirut

If I was young, I'd flee this town
I'd bury my dreams underground
As did I, we drink to die, we drink tonight

Far from home, elephant gun
Let's take them down one by one
We'll lay it down, it's not been found, it's not around

Let the seasons begin - it rolls right on
Let the seasons begin - take the big king down

Let the seasons begin - it rolls right on
Let the seasons begin - take the big king down

And it rips through the silence of our camp at night
And it rips through the night

And it rips through the silence of our camp at night
And it rips through the silence, all that is left is all that i hide

I am totally addicted by this song nowadays. I got to know it because of a Brazilian TV drama that was broadcasted some days ago. It was a marvelous little piece of art that made me completely proud of being alive to see it. Sometimes, when I am in front of something so good, I feel proud of being born in such times like these and being able to see it as it was made. Of course, it does not happen quite often. However, sometimes I have this feeling and it is always very rewarding.

The TV drama deserves some words, of course, but not now. However, since I fell in love for it with a simple TV commercial of it, I'll post it here. May others also fall for it as did I? I hope so ^^

I had the pleasure to listen to MONORAL live!!!!!!! What can I say about it? Well, it was awesome!

I was a little afraid not to get to the Teatro Odisséia on time. The gig was scheduled to begin at 20:00, but the audience should arrive there at 19:00. I was still on the way at 19:30! However, when I got there, people were still in the queue waiting to the doors to be opened. It was not a big audience. There were some people I knew what made the atmosphere gets rather comfortable.

I went there with my sister who likes J-rock but who didn’t know a thing about MONORAL. I could convince her to go with me by saying we had to support them because they are from VAMPROSE and that if their tour in Brazil were successful, VAMPS would be a possibility and even Laruku. She agreed and went with me. So I was anxious that it should be a good show because she’s rather critic *_*

Around 20:00 the doors were opened and we entered. I was concerned by the small number of people. I think it was around 100 which is a really small number for the Japanese live standards, ne. However, I could notice that those people were really happy and anxious to receive MONORAL. I was really glad to notice that. To warm up the audience, it was singing some Japanese artists such as Miyavi. I liked their sound. I missed some VAMPS or Laruku. It’d be amazing to listen to LOVE ADDICT, for example.

Since it was not as full as other lives I had attended, I considered staying close to the stage, so did my sister who was getting little by little into the atmosphere of the live. So, we got closer to the stage as the lights turned off, anticipating the beginning.

Suddenly, they were there on the stage! It was really MONORAL. Anis was dressed with a green and yellow T-shirt and looked comfortable. Ali was wearing something stylish, alike those clothes that appear in the Via CD pamphlets. He’s a gorgeous man. Anis looks soooo cute. And there were also Akira san, Daigo san and Mikio san. Mikio san is too cute, too. As for me, I think he was the cutest on stage *_*
The first song was Sparta. Everybody was screaming and jumping. There was a lot of energy. I also gave my best, jumping and screaming and waving to them. Just a nice fan girl ^^

The first MC of Anis was about what he’d been learning of Portuguese so far. Nós somos o MONORAL. Nós amamos o Rio de Janeiro (We are MONORAL. We love Rio de Janeiro). It was amazing because he could pronounce the words perfectly. He also said he had a feeling that that gig would be special for MONORAL. He was soooooo nice and he won the audience. After some Portuguese talk, he asked “Vocês estão de meias?” (Are you dressing socks?) and people could not understand it at first, them he addressed his own shoes, so people got the meaning and answered “Sim” (Yes) and everybody laughed and they began to play again. So cool! I turned around to check my sister’s opinion on them and she was smiling and enjoying their talk. She looked at me and said, “They are so gentle, aren’t they?”. She was my thermometer (laughs)

As the set list were going by, people were becoming more and more crazy. We were really singing along with them and their faces were reflecting a lot of joy. Akira san is a wonderful player. He flirted with the audience more than once and people got hysteric by his technique. It was marvelous!!!!! He got really closer to the audience and played in that way only rock stars know how to play ^^ So good! Anis smiled.

Anis voice is also something. He could do some sound with his voice. He has a good control of it. He gets high tones easily and he screams a lot. He’s very talented. Some of the songs are a bit introspective and our mind can fly with them and Anis voice sounds like a mantra. So beautiful!

Anis, of course was in the middle. Mikio and Ali were on his right and Akira was on his left. Mikio had also a wonderful performance. He played the guitar on his back. He kneeled on the floor, making a worth thing to be seen. Sometimes my attention travelled from Anis to Akira and Mikio and Daigo and Ali. I love music. And seeing a band live is almost magical. All the instruments are combined perfectly and it’s fantastic to see the music being made in real time. It’s like an orchestra! And each of them is clearly artists. I was involved by them, living through their voice and bass and guitar and drums…. Such a feeling. Surely the amazingly lustful intimacy and warmly vitality that involve rock concerts were beginning to overflow as the songs went by and Anis pronounced the lyrics by the rhythm of the music and the voices and screams full of passion of the audience were all mixing together in an almost heavenly way. Oh, sure we were all going to that place full of ecstasy. We were all reaching an orgasm for sure. *__* A collective one. A musical one. Like a huge fusion. Oh, I was coming with MONORAL!!! (laughs) “That’s the magic you put on it, Lady V?”

Ali got really close to the audience and the smart Brazilian girls took good advantages. He was grabbed and hands were all over him. Such a fuss. Since I don’t like much turmoil I stayed quiet in my place. To tell the truth, I tried to be as faithful to Hyde as I could ^^ Ali is very seductive and were all erotic glances to the fans who were all melting by them ^^ There was a time he even let the fans play his guitar which was leaning on his lap. Such a scene! Anis is a type of innocent beauty. Too lovely. He also got closer to the audience but didn’t get as close as Ali. Mikio san and Akira san also got closer but they seemed to be avoiding any physical contact. After all, they are Japanese people, ne. I got curious to know what they thought about all that craziness that was happening. They were surely enjoying the gig, though.

As for the BL, a strong point in rock bands (!?) Well, Mikio san and Ali san playing close to each other. Mikio san kind of touching Anis’s back with his own back (!) Ali and Anis almost never play these games but there was a time Ali was sat on the floor and Anis got close to his back. Good. As all the BL scenes were happening, I screamed louder, of course. It was an exciting live. My sister was delighted and so were those I knew that didn’t know much about MONORAL. It was a 100% success!!!!!!

After a small encore, they waved goodbye and we all felt fully happy. It was a terrific live!!!! MONORAL rocks indeed.
As an omake, people who had official MONORAL T-shirts or CDs would attend a sigh meeting!!!!! Since I had brought my VIA, I went to the queue. I was a little ashamed to talk to them, but then I thought it was a big opportunity to practice for the time I’ll be this close to my beloved L’ Arc~en~Ciel and even more, to my dearest Hyde. So I wrapped myself with a feeling of “Ganbattene, Lady V”.

So the moment came. I handed my CD pamphlet to Daigo san, inclining respectfully my body, telling him “すごくよかったです” and he replied “どうもありがとう”. “お疲れ様でした” would be more appropriate, but the word escaped from me. So I was really anxious. After, it was Akira san and he replied “Obrigado” and signed. Mikio san, then. I also thanked him and the same obrigado came. Looking at him close gave me the opportunity to confirm his cuteness. Kawaii da ne, I thought. Then Anis. Oh, I had to make sure he feel we loved the gig, so I said “Anis, thank you. It was amazing”, he was signing, and then he got up and shook my hand and kissed me on the cheek!!!! Unexpected Anis. Of course it’s a usual way of greeting here in Brazil but I really didn’t expect such reaction since they live in Japan. It was the loveliest thing he would do. Then I told him, not caring if I’d sound a little inconvenient. “Tell Haido to come, too, please”. He asked me “what?” and got closer to listen better. And I daringly told him again “Please, tell Haido to come here, too”. And he kind of smiled and said “OOOK”. Well, he was the one closer to Hyde I’ve ever met, so. Hope it didn’t sound rude. Then, Ali. I also thanked him and he also shook my hand and gave me 2 kisses on the cheek, though it didn’t feel as natural as Anis’s.

They are really gentle people and fantastic rock artists. Hope they get back soon and play once again here in Rio de Janeiro. I already miss them.

Yeah.

E normalmente o ouço inteiro no mp3 player, no caminho.
